To ward away fleas and ticks, some people like to put a few drops of essential oil on their dog's collar. Some people dilute the essential oil with vegetable oil and rub it on their hands and then onto their pet's fur. You can also put a diluted drop or two around the rim of each ear. Experiment and see which method your pet prefers and/or which method works best for your dog. It's best not to put essential oil directly on cat's fur, since cats are so sensitive, but it's fine on dogs.
