Out Of Fresh Basil? Try Basil Essential Oil.

Love the flavor basil adds to salads, pasta and pesto?  Naturally! Basil is a delicious addition to many favorite recipes… especially if you like Italian food and flavors.

But have you ever run out of fresh basil just when you needed it?  Or couldn't find it because it was off-season? 

Now you can enjoy the taste of basil year-round by using basil essential oil. It's the purest essence of basil in a bottle.

If you love fresh basil with food, you'll love basil essential oil. Its available year-round and is wonderfully refresing, envigorating and potent. 

Keep in mind that basil essential oil is highly concentrated, so only a drop or two is plenty for:

  • salad dressing
  • vinaigrette
  • pasta
  • sauces
  • marinades
  • fresh mozzarella cheese

Basil essential oil is not to be confused with cooking oil or any oil containing essential fatty acids.  Essential oils are highly concentrated natural plan extracts.  They are volatile or ethereal oils, and much lighter in weight than cooking oils, yet far more fragrant and flavorful.

You'll get the best results with basil essential oil if you mix it with another oil first, or drop it into an oil-based dressing.  One drop straight on a chunk of fresh mozzarella would be too intense.  Add it to a cold dish, or to a hot dish only after it's been removed from the heat source and cools just a little.
