Balsam Fir Essential Oil
Balsam Fir (Abies balsamea), aka Idaho Balsam Fir, is a conifer oil distilled in northern Idaho that has a refreshing and uplifting scent. If you like the smell of fir trees in the mountains or the smell of Christmas trees, you'll love Balsam Fir.
Balsam Fir is most often used in massage. It has a soothing effect on muscle and body discomfort associated with exercise (and over-exercise).
Idaho Balsam Fir is very high in antioxidants – it has an approximate ORAC of 205,047 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.
Diffusing with Balsam Fir is a wonderful way to bring the peace and grounding of nature into your home through fragrance. You can also use it as a supplement by diluting one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid such as goat's or rice milk.
Possible skin sensitivity: If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Do not use near fire, flame, heat or sparks.
